Hope she enjoys it. I walked next to Archie (that me with my hand on his leg!) but tbh he didn’t really need me there, except maybe in trot. Using a Western saddle is even better for autistic kids because they sit deeper and have something to hold on to. Archie’s biggest problem is that he can’t keep hold of the reins – always drops them, but he’s so relaxed on a horse he has a pretty good seat anyway. Not that reins keep you in the saddle.
Syd’s riding a horse later this week – first time in 15 years or so! I was a bit nervous about it, but this has eased my mind 😉 Lovely!
